Full Text of John Boehner’s Speech. I salute you sir, in trying to actually adhere to the will of the people. Today is a sad day for true Americans.
Posted in Uncategorized on March 22, 2010 by TrailI rise with a sad and heavy heart. Today, we should be standing together. . .reflecting on a year of bipartisanship, and working to answer our country’s challenge to address the rising costs of health care. Today. . .this body and this institution. . .enshrined in the first article of the Constitution by our Founding Fathers as a sign of the importance they placed in the House, should be looking with pride on this legislation and our work. But it is not so. No, today we stand here looking at a health care bill that no one in this body believes is satisfactory. Today we stand here amidst the wreckage of what was once the respect and honor that this House was held in by our fellow citizens. And we all know why this is so. We have failed to listen to America. We have failed to reflect the will of our constituents. And when we fail to reflect that will we fail ourselves and we fail our country. Look at this bill. Ask yourself: do you really believe that if you like your health care plan today, you’ll be able to keep it? You know you can’t say yes. In this economy. . .with this unemployment. . .with our desperate need for jobs and economic growth. . .is this really the time to raise taxes, create bureaucracies, and burden every job creator in our land? You know the answer is no. Can you go home and tell your senior citizens that these cuts in Medicare will not limit their access to doctors and further weaken the program instead of strengthening it? You know you can’t. Can you go home and tell your constituents with confidence that this bill respects the sanctity of all human life, and that it won’t allow taxpayer funding of abortion for the first time in 30 years? You know you can’t. And look at how this bill was written. Can you say it was done openly, with transparency and accountability without backroom deals, struck behind closed doors, hidden from the people? You know you can’t. Have you read the bill, the reconciliation bill and the manager’s amendment? You know you can’t say yes. In a few minutes, we will cast some of the most consequential votes any of us will cast in this chamber. The decision we make will affect every man, woman and child in this nation for generations to come. If we’re going to vote to defy the will of the American people, then we ought to have the courage to stand before them and announce our votes, one at a time. I sent a letter to the Speaker this week asking that the “call of the roll” be ordered for this vote. Madame Speaker, I ask you. Will you, in the interest of the institution, grant my request? With respect, Madame Speaker. Will you grant my request for a call of the roll?] This is the People’s House. When we came here, we each swore an oath to uphold and abide by the Constitution as representatives of the people. But the process here is broken. The institution is broken. And as a result, this bill is not what the American people need, nor what our constituents want. Americans out there are making sacrifices and struggling to build a better future for their children. Over the last year as the damn-the-torpedoes outline of this legislation became more clear. . .millions lifted their voices, many for the first time. . .asking us to slow down, not try to cram through more than the system could handle. Not to spend money we don’t have. In this time of recession, they wanted us to focus on jobs, not more spending. . .not more government. . .and certainly not more taxes. But what they see today, frightens them. They’re frightened because they don’t know what comes next. They’re disgusted, because they see one political party closing out the other from what should be a national solution. And they are angry that no matter how they engage in this debate, this body moves forward against their will. Shame on us. Shame on this body. Shame on each and every one of you who substitutes your will and your desires above those of your fellow countrymen. Around this chamber, looking upon us are the lawgivers from Moses to Gaius [Guy Us], to Blackstone, to Thomas Jefferson. By our action today, we disgrace their values. We break the ties of history. We break our trust with America. When I handed the Speaker the gavel in 2007, I said: “this is the people’s House and the moment a majority forgets this, it starts writing itself a ticket to minority status.” If we pass this bill, there will be no turning back. It will be the last straw for the American people. In a democracy, you can only ignore the will of the people for so long and get away with it. If we defy the will of our fellow citizens and pass this bill, we will be held to account by those who have placed their trust in us. We will have shattered those bonds of trust. I beg of you each and every one of you on both sides of the aisle: Do not further strike at the heart of this country and this institution with arrogance, for surely you will not strike with impunity. I ask each of you to vow never to let this happen again this process, this defiance of our citizens. It is not too late to begin to restore the bonds of trust with our Nation and return comity to this institution. Join me. Join me in voting against this bill, so that we may come together anew, and address this challenge of health care in a manner that brings credit to this body. . .brings credit to the ideals of this nation. . .and most importantly, reflects the will our people.
Here’s hoping!

An echo fades into the night,
an eerie mournful sound.
A shooting star disappears from sight,
and I crumble to the ground.
There is no life within this garden;
my sobs are the only sound.
I have poisoned the honeyed fountain
where your love could be found.
Dazed, I stare at the stars above,
my grieving howls fill the night!
Unintended betrayal of love
has hidden you from my sight.
I remember how it used to be
when we shared our fears and delights.
You are a treasured friend to me.
How can I make things right?
Feeling afraid, cold and lonely,
I long to tell you how I feel,
but you don’t want to hear me.
The pain for you is much too real.
Should I back away and build a wall
and block away how I feel?
Or, should I give you a call?
We both need some time to heal.
An echo fades into the night
as our friendship disappears.
How do I know what is right?
How can I ease my fears?
If I do call you again,
would the old wounds reappear?
I can’t stand to cause you pain.
Hurting you again is my worst fear!

Posted in Howlin at the Left on November 13, 2009 by Trail“Self-proclaimed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees will be sent to New York to face trial in a civilian federal court, an Obama administration official said Friday.
Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce the decision later in the morning.
President Obama, speaking in Tokyo, said he will insist that Mohammed be subject to “the most exacting demands of justice” and called the move both a prosecutorial and a national security decision.
“I’m absolutely convinced that Khalid Sheik Mohammad will be subject to the most exacting demands of justice. The American people insist on it. My administration will insist on it,” he said. ”
……..
That was my first reaction to this news. Utter disbelief. Some of the people who killed 3,000 innocent civilians AS AN ACT OF WAR are getting the FULL protection or our Constitution?!?!?! WHAT IN THE NINE HELLS IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!!
This is so typical of our failure-in-chief. I have no doubts at all now that this king of idiots all of the Liberals elected is a pure plain and simple Terrorist supporter. This is not a matter of “due process” This is a matter of Obama being a weak-minded fool who is blinded by his supporters because he cannot think for himself. Although on this, I do believe this is 100% him. This is to appease all of his little ball-gobblers and special interest groups. This is just to appease the Left.
Some idiot on the news was just now crying about how “we are supposed to be civilised, so why can’t we show some humility and give them a chance at a fair trial” Wanna know why? How about you go ask the New York Fire Department or the New York Police Department why. Better yet, why don’t you go ask some of the victims families. If you somehow can do that without getting the sh*t knocked out of you, by all means. They do not deserve a “fair trial” In my opinion, the only thing they deserve is to be bathed in pigs blood and shot in the gut so they die horribly, painfully, slowly, and totally disgraced and dishonored towards thier religion because of the pig’s blood. Sorry, no virgins for you, you get to go meet Iblis (their Satan by the way).
Also, going by that mans logic, apparently we need to treat them humanely because, you know, killing innocent people is TOTALLY the work of humane sane people.
Liberals, and Obama especially, I am utterly and 100% disgusted with your actions. I’m glad you all support terrorism and religious radicals, but please remember this, most of the REAL AMERICANS do not.
Their attack on our country was an act of war, not a crime. They openly and blatantly declared war on our way of life and our country with their cowardly attacks, and believe me, they are all cowards, all of them. It takes no courage to kill innocents. Just insanity and cruelty and a lack of testicles.
If anyone reading this supports Obama’s decision on this matter, please please PLEASE do me this one favor. Go into your garage, find a tire iron, and beat yourself about the head until unconscious. That is the only way people like you are useful to this society. Do you really think that these mongrels care that you want them to have a “fair trial?” Let me assure you, they do not. They took a peaceful, albeit harsh religion, and twisted it into glorifying killing babies and innocent people. I do not think for one moment that they would hesitate killing a peacenik who wants to save the whales and snails just because you want them to have a fair go of things.
Any Liberals who still care about what this country stands for, please please let me know that there is hope out there in the left-wing, because it is a very sad thing if only conservatives still care about America.
So, let fly with the race card again?
Posted in Uncategorized on October 27, 2009 by TrailI’m sure by now that you have all heard about the shooting of Kiwane Carrington, and of all the BS being thrown at the Champaign police department. Let me say this first off, I am sorry that a child has lost his life, that is never a good thing nor should it be celebrated.
That being said, I feel no remorse for the reason leading up to him being shot. When the police show up, its game over. That is it, you are caught, deal with it. That goes for every race, gender, creed, etc. The police are there to keep the peace and keep the community at large safe. They deserve everyone’s respect. I mean, first off, making a big hullaballoo about this just because he was black and saying it was race that caused this, is racist in and of it self. What if a white kid had been shot by a black cop? Would all of the people crying “racism” still be there to defend the white child? No, because they are hypocrites and racists themselves. Hate-mongers and self-loathers exist in both blacks and whites folks. Whites have the KKK, Blacks have the Black Panthers. both are groups of equally stupid, racist, hateful people, but that is an issue I may get into later.
“Those kids were not resisting arrest, they were resisting injustice” that was a comment I read in the opinion section of last weeks News Gazette. Really? Injustice is being caught for an attempted break in? You know what that statement tells me? That the person who wrote it is one of the hate-mongers and self-hating racists. That means that they propagate the lie that “cops only shoot minorities” That is a very sad thing to think, let alone tell anyone else. I got pulled over by a black cop once, and did I think for a second that he did it because I was white? No, I knew what I had done, I was speeding and knew he was doing his job, protecting the community. I was polite, complied with all of his commands, and was out with a warning because I complied and made his job easier. See how simple that is? You address the officer as “sir” or “mam” and you comply with everything they tell you. If you are being arrested, it is going to happen, there is nothing you can do to change that. Sure, you can struggle, and then you open up a whole shitstorm of possiblities. One of which can include your death. You see, police have to treat every suspect as if they are armed and dangerous because in all reality, you can NEVER assume that any person, be they white,black,yellow, purple, neon pink, is not a threat. You just can’t be that naive in a job like that. It isn’t safe for you or the people who depend on you.
Now, if you feel you are being wronged, and that you being arrested is not fair, then you wait until you are done being processed, and then you have the court system to hear your concerns. Believe me, they listen too, how many times do you see people just walk out the next day from an arrest? Pretty darn close to 9 times outta 10. There is the key fact though, you use the courts as your sounding board, not jump around and say nasty things. That puts anyone on edge around you, be you a cop or an everyday person. It’s human nature to react a little quickly if you think you are in danger. Now, that being said, was I there? No, but I do not believe that a police officer, would just up and shoot a baby for no reason. Maybe the kid reached into a pocket, maybe he made what could be considered a move towards one of the officers guns, I don’t know. What I do know is that parents need to stop feeding their children lies that the police are “out to get them because you are black” That is just not true. If you live in a black community and 99% of the arrests made are against blacks, that is not racism, that’s probablity. Using that twisted logic of “police are out to get you because of your skin color”, then the cops in Tolono are racist because all they do is pull over white people. See how stupid that argument sounds?
Bottom line, I am really sick of people crying race every single time anything happens to a minority. Accidents and misunderstandings happen people. Would there be this huge outcry and a march if a white kid had been shot? No, and as a matter of fact it prolly wouldn’t even make the first page. Hate-mongers and self-loathers on both sides of the issue need to grow up and stop pulling the race card left and right.
For Christ’s sake people, we are all human beings, there is no “other” race. It is past time for us to stop seeing each other in terms of color. Know how this headline would read if we didn’t have idiots yelling racism?
“15 year-old shot by police, investigation under-way”
instead we get things like “Racist pig kills innocent black student”
and from the white crazies “Police gun down boy like animal he is”
Grow the hell up, both sides, blacks and whites…grow the hell up.
The winds of change do not phase me..
Posted in Life with tags Rant on October 12, 2009 by TrailI don’t even know how to begin this one. On one hand, I don’t want to be nice, on the other hand, I don’t want to burn any bridges either. I will try and stay in between those two lines, but just a warning, no one is perfect.
For one thing, I laugh in your general direction. Pathetic attempts to try and get my friends to “turn against me” isn’t really gonna work, I know this is hard to get through Liberal skulls, but I trust my friends and they trust me, so, keep up the valiant effort kids, I’ll sit back here with some popcorn and enjoy the farce.
Moving on, I am just sick and tired of people getting “annoyed” with me. Look, if I make you angry, then stop talking to me, simple as that, don’t waste your time or my time, move on. I have no need for fairweather friends. Never have. Never will. The people who stand beside you when you are at your lowest, are the only people worth having around, and generally, that is only family and very close friends. It seems I am losing the latter more and more because of my political views and just how I am in general. That’s fine, read this paragraph again up to this point. It does not bother me. What bothers me is people who are passive-aggressive about it. Be open, be loud, be proud about it. (wow that really sounded like a gay pride rally there…sorry folks!) Not immature and snarky about it like a toddler.
Living with integrity means:
- Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships.
- Asking for what you want and need from others.
- Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension.
- Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values.
- Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.
That is how I believe everyone should live their lives. You don’t like someone? Do not hide it, unless it’s a co-worker in which case suck it up.
To end this, I make no apologies for being who I am. If I make you mad, then be an adult about it and let me know. I’m not a mind reader here folks, as cool as that would be.
and, to end with some music, here is one of my favorite harmonic metal bands, Epica.

Posted in Uncategorized on October 5, 2009 by Trailbut, that is not today’s topic. this is :
I had about two pages of ranting to go along with this, but wordpress is queerer than Elton John and tried to turn this into a Tweet, and deleted it all. So, yeah, Screw Twitter.
Obama is really starting to show how stupid he is. You cannot run a war on hope and change. Nor can you run a war without good communication. Now, if a 21 year old can figure this out with only basic leymans understanding of how to run a battlefield, you would think that Obama could too, since, you know, he is president. Apparently not, as depressing as that is. No, he would rather waste time with something as un-important as the 2016 Olympics. Anyone else see how hypocritical that is though? The man who goes around apologizing for America, and tries to promote more co-operation between America and the rest of the world, goes to lobby for the Olympics for the US. Really? Is this man so idiotic that he can’t even obey his OWN rhetoric? I bet some liberals feel pretty silly right now. You would think that if he really wanted to promote goodwill, he would have asked that all American cities be taken out of the running to give places like South America and Africa a chance, but no, that would be following logic, and liberals cannot do that. Well, I will get some more posts up this week, I have just been in kind of a meh mood recently, so keep your eyes on yah for new posts!
Some motivational stuff,and a funny picture, cuz I don’t feel like a rant today.
Posted in Uncategorized on September 29, 2009 by TrailIt’s easy to fight when everything’s right,
And you’re mad with the thrill and the glory;
It’s easy to cheer when victory’s near,
And wallow in fields that are gory.
It’s a different song when everything’s wrong.
When you’re feeling infernally mortal;
When it’s ten against one, and hope there is none,
Buck up, little soldier, and chortle:
Carry on! Carry on!
There isn’t much punch in your blow.
You’re glaring and staring and hitting out blind;
You’re muddy and bloody, but never mind.
Carry on! Carry on!
You haven’t the ghost of a show.
It’s looking like death, but while you’ve a breath,
Carry on, my son! Carry on!
And so in the strife of the battle of life
It’s easy to fight when you’re winning;
It’s easy to slave, and starve and be brave,
When the dawn of success is beginning.
But the man who can meet despair and defeat
With a cheer, there’s a man of God’s choosing;
The man who can fight to Heaven’s own height
Is the man who can fight when he’s losing.
Carry on! Carry on!
Things never were looming so black.
But show that you haven’t a cowardly streak,
And though you’re unlucky you never are weak.
Carry on! Carry on!
Brace up for another attack.
It’s looking like hell, but – you never can tell;
Carry on, old man! Carry on!
There are some who drift out in the deserts of doubt,
And some who in brutishness wallow;
There are others, I know, who in piety go
Because of a Heaven to follow.
But to labor with zest, and to give of your best,
For the sweetness and joy of the giving;
To help folks along with a hand and a song;
Why, there’s the real sunshine of living.
Carry on! Carry on!
Fight the good fight and true;
Believe in you mission, greet life with a cheer;
There’s big work to do, and that’s why you are here.
Carry on! Carry on!
Let the world be the better for you;
And at last when you die, let this be your cry:
Carry on, my soul! Carry on!
